The objectives of the centre are:

• To create awareness among the community, especially the youth, about the values and ideals that Swami Vivekananda stood for.
• To spread the messages of Vivekananda among the masses.
• To sensitize the masses to the relevance of Swami Vivekananda’s teaching in the present situation when society is seized by corruption and violence.
• To make available to the masses the essence of Swami's teachings through books, lectures, media.
• To raise the quality of life of people by helping them to evolve a clear philosophy of life.
  To inculcate moral and spiritual values in teachers, students and the community.
• To make real education available to the youth - education that leads to character formation.

Resources

• The Centre has a computer and a Printer, Overhead projector, portable wireless amplifier system with cordless collar mike, White Board, Chalk Board, Magnetic board, Camera and Audio Cassettes. The Centre also has 1352 books and subscribes 2 journals.
