Education refers to specially designed instructions
or approaches to meet the unique needs of special
children with specialized materials and resources
available.
The term
Rehabilitation implies combined and co-ordinated use
of medical, social, educational and vocational
measures for training the individual to the highest
possible level of functional ability.
Genesis
Five year
integrated course in Special Education and
Rehabilitation leading to B.Sc., B.Ed., and M.Ed.,
Degree was started in 1992.
Objectives :
Helping Students
- Get
familiarized with identification, screening and
assessment of children with disabilities.

Plan, implement and evaluate educational
programmes for the young children with specific
disabilities.

Mobilise resources for timely intervention
and organize Rehabilitation programmes for children
with disabilities.
