The objectives evolved by the students, teachers and the management for the university are to inculcate ethical values, social and moral standards in all the disciplines of study. Generate awareness among women about their rights and status through adult and non-formal education. Provide opportunities for all-round development of the students and excellence in higher education, research and extension in different disciplines - home sciences, sciences, humanities, education, engineering and management upto the level of Ph.D. and beyond. Serve as a centre for national integration to bring women from all parts of the country and develop an all-India perspective. Function as a centre for women and children's studies.
