ROLE OF NCC IN OUR UNIVERSITY

In  the  year  1968. It   was  started  with  50  cadets. Our  university  is  one  of  the  subunit   in  the  coimbatore  group.  At  present  we  have  160  cadets  with  two  ANO’s. Regularly   40  parades  will  be  conducted   per  year  in  our  campus. In  addition  to  parades  our  cadets  are  attending  various  camps.To  develop  the  social  service  among  the  cadets  special  activities  are  conducted  every  year.

For  the   past  five  years  our  university  is  winning  the “OVERALL  BEST  INSTITUTION  AWARD”  among  the  district  level  competition.

Our Institutional training is the basic for the cadets for their higher achievements.  The Associate NCC Officer will be responsible for the Parades conducting in the university.  The following are the details of strength and parade during the last five years.

Special Activity

The main part in NCC is conducting special activity for the cadets.  It develops the qualities of team spirit, co-operation and tolerance.  Apart from these personal gains the various social service activities like tree plantation, blood donation, preservation of ecology, adult literacy campaign rally, visit to orphanages are oriented towards bringing about benefits to the society.  This widens horizon of knowledge.  Feeling of social awareness and a sense of responsibility towards the society.
