POST GRADUATE TEACHING

In Post Graduate Teaching, stress is given on the following topics

  1. Principles and various dimensions of Journalism.
  2. Communication techniques.
  3. Translation- Principles and application.
  4. Development of Hindi Language with special reference to journalism.
  5. Internship in press (office premises).
  6. Publication of a Home journal 'Abhinav Bharathi'

INNOVATION IN TERMS OF TEACHING

Quiz programmes, Group discussions, Field visits, Hands on training, are arranged in between academic programmes and guest lectures are also arranged by experts in the field, and for the Post-Graduate students, there is an internship programme for two weeks in a Press.

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

Submission of dissertation by PG students on any aspect of Journalism or Functional Hindi since 1992.

The summer sequential research programme in M.Phil Hindi was started in 1997.

The regular research programme in M.Phil. Hindi was started in the year 1999.

Ph.D. research programme (part time) in Hindi started since 2000 and is currently in process. Two candidates have completed their research programmes. One candidate has completed her Ph.D programme on ' The Literary Aspect of Functional Hindi'  and the other candidate on 'Journalism and Literature'.

  3. Comparative study of Literature.
  4. Functional Hindi and its Relevance.
